Crow Feathers

Ink flashing indigo
You stand
incongruous

In your field
of green
blades

Two of you
upright and
alone

Sentinels of night
fallen from
wings

Who once climbed
blazing sky
gracefully

I pass, walking
heart full
curious

Who were you
when you
flew?

Why did you
leave them
behind?

This poem really speaks to me right now as feathers, crows, ravens and pigeons are very significant for me at the moment. I love the line “Who were you when you flew…” Thank you Tracie, Y ❤
